South Lake Union

North to the Future is a phrase applying well to this up-and-coming area that hugs the south end of Lake Union. It’s the furthest north of Seattle’s ten downtown neighborhoods and has the most growth potential. Thanks to Paul Allen’s Vulcan Real Estate, that development is proceeding in a timely and organized fashion and with a strong passion…..green.

South Lake Union is exploding with activity. Plans are extensive for new buildings to house commercial, retail and Bio-Tech companies. There’s wonderful designs for increasing residential properties as well. Employers are making commitments often to locate to this zone north of Denny, west of I-5, east of Broad and Hwy 99 and surrounding the south quarter of the lake. It has a relaxed and flavorful attitude but when it comes to sustainable energy there is a devotion to the concept. In fact, the whole neighborhood has applied for LEED certification.

Cast your eyes to the north and explore the possibilities of this dramatic, vibrant and green district.
